The forging process of a blade consist of three phases: forge,quench and temper,polish.

Forge

In the forging process of folded blade,we aim to create an item of both beauty and extreme strength. Along with folding, hammering, and tempering,a blade produced with incredible sharpness, as well as the "grain" created.
We use two kind of material for forging a sword,one is carbon steel,another is raw steel produced from iron-rich sand,we often use the latter to forge super swords.

Quench and Temper

In this phase,differential hardened with application of clay will be used for most blades,it gives the blade its ability to take and retain amazing sharpness,as well as producing the hamon, it is one of the most important aspects in the aesthetic appearance of a blade.

Polish

In this phase,the blade will be passed on to the polisher, who will give the blade its final polish.Each blade requires a different style of polishing,ggeneral polish,or traditional polish. The traditional polishing is divided into several stages, different stones and tools are used in each stage applying different movements.
